First Visit & Walk-Ins
Do I need an appointment to tan?
No appointment is necessary — just come on in. Walk-ins are welcome at all three Boca Tanning Club locations for UV tanning, spray tanning and red light therapy. If you are coming at a busy time and want a specific bed, calling ahead means less waiting.
What does my first visit cost?
First-time clients pay $15 for a Level 5 stand-up session or $22 for a Level 5 lay-down. New clients can also take advantage of our buy two, get one free offer on qualifying sessions, plus 50% off one bottle of tanning lotion on that first visit.
What should I bring to my first visit?
Bring a government-issued photo ID. Protective eyewear is required for UV sessions and is available at the front desk. For spray tanning, come with clean skin and no lotion, deodorant or makeup, and wear loose, dark clothing.
Is there an age requirement for tanning?
Yes. Florida law requires parental or guardian consent for clients under 18 before UV tanning, and additional restrictions apply to younger minors. Sunless spray tanning is not subject to the same UV rules. Bring a photo ID on your first visit and our team will walk you through what is needed.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept cash, credit cards and debit cards at all three locations.
Pricing & Memberships
How much is a single tanning session?
A single Level 5 lay-down or stand-up session is $22. Our Level 5 lay-down is a 10-minute session with red light therapy built into the bed. First-time clients pay $15 for a Level 5 stand-up or $22 for a Level 5 lay-down.
What memberships do you offer?
We offer four monthly memberships:
Level 5 Laydown and Stand Up, UV — $89/month. Unlimited Level 5 lay-down and stand-up UV tanning.
Premier UV — $119/month. Unlimited Level 5 and High Pressure tanning for deeper colour in fewer visits.
Red Light Therapy — $129/month. Unlimited full-body medical-grade red light therapy sessions.
Elite All Access — $149/month. Unlimited access to all services.
No appointment is needed with any membership — just come on in.
Can I use my membership at all three locations?
Yes. One membership gives you unlimited access at all three South Florida clubs — Boca Raton, Boynton Beach and Weston — at no extra charge. Tan near work on a weekday and near home on the weekend on the same plan.
Can I freeze my membership?
Yes. You can freeze your membership at no charge, for as long as you like. Email us and we will take care of it.
How do I cancel my membership?
Email chris@bocatanningclub.com and we will handle it. Keep in mind you can also freeze your membership for free for as long as you like, which many clients prefer to cancelling outright.
Do you offer deals for new clients?
Yes. New clients get a Level 5 stand-up session for $15, buy two get one free on qualifying sessions, and 50% off one bottle of tanning lotion on the first visit. Offers are for first-time clients and can vary by location.
UV Tanning
What does “Level 5” mean?
Level 5 is our entry-level equipment — and in the tanning world, Level 5 is premium. These are high-output beds and booths that deliver strong, even results in a short session. Every Boca Tanning Club membership starts at Level 5.
Should I choose the stand-up or the lay-down?
The stand-up booth gives full 360-degree coverage with no pressure points, which means no lighter patches where your body contacts the bed, and it is a fast 7-minute session. The lay-down is the more relaxing option, with face tanners, aromatherapy, built-in audio and red light therapy in the bed. Many clients alternate between the two.
What is high pressure tanning and how is it different?
High pressure beds deliver more UVA and less UVB than a conventional bed. That produces deeper colour that lasts longer between visits, with fewer sessions needed to maintain it. Our Solarix X2 high pressure bed runs 12-minute sessions and the Matrix V28 high pressure stand-up gives the same result with full-body coverage.
How long is a tanning session?
Our Level 5 stand-up is a 7-minute session. The Level 5 lay-down runs about 10 minutes with red light therapy in the bed. High pressure sessions run 10 to 12 minutes depending on the bed. Sessions are shorter than conventional salons because the equipment is stronger.
How often should I tan?
It depends on your skin type and how established your base is. Most clients building colour start with two to three sessions a week, then drop to one or two a week to maintain. Our staff will look at your skin type and recommend a schedule and a starting session length on your first visit.
Spray Tanning
What spray tan options do you have?
Two. The VersaSpa PRO booth gives a fast, even, automated application matched to your skin tone. Our Skinetix Exclusive formula is a custom blend for a deeper, longer-lasting finish. Both are available at all three locations.
How long does a spray tan last?
A professional spray tan typically lasts 5 to 10 days. How long you keep it comes down to preparation and aftercare — exfoliate beforehand, wait 8 to 12 hours before your first shower, moisturise daily, and avoid long hot showers, chlorine and exfoliating scrubs. In South Florida humidity, patting dry instead of rubbing makes a real difference.
How should I prepare for a spray tan?
Exfoliate and shave 12 to 24 hours before your appointment. Arrive with clean skin and no lotion, deodorant, perfume or makeup — anything on the skin acts as a barrier and causes uneven colour. Wear loose, dark clothing afterwards and avoid tight straps or waistbands.
Will a spray tan make me look orange?
No. Orange results come from the wrong shade level or old-generation solution, not from spray tanning itself. Our solutions are tinted to match your natural undertone, and starting one shade lighter than you think you need is the reliable way to get a natural result.
How long does a spray tan session take?
The spray itself takes about two to three minutes, and you are in and out in under 10 minutes including drying time. Colour starts developing within a few hours and reaches full depth in 8 to 12 hours.
Red Light Therapy
What is red light therapy?
Red light therapy uses visible red and near-infrared wavelengths delivered through a full-body system with 5,000 medical-grade LEDs. It produces no UV, so it does not tan or burn the skin. Clients use it for skin appearance, collagen support and post-workout muscle recovery.
Is red light therapy the same as tanning?
No. UV tanning uses ultraviolet light to trigger melanin production and give you colour. Red light therapy produces no UV at all and will not tan you. They are different services with different purposes, and plenty of clients use both — red light for skin and recovery, UV for colour.
How often should I do red light therapy?
Most people start with three to five sessions a week for the first four to six weeks, then move to two or three a week to maintain results. Red light therapy is cumulative — consistency matters more than session length. Our $129/month membership is built around that frequency.
How long before I see results?
Muscle recovery and soreness benefits are often noticed within the first one to two weeks. Changes in skin appearance such as tone, texture and fine lines typically take 8 to 12 weeks of consistent sessions, because collagen remodelling is a slow process. Results vary from person to person.
What should I wear for red light therapy?
Whatever you are comfortable in. Light reaches skin, not fabric, so any area you want treated should be exposed — most clients use the private room in swimwear or underwear. Remove makeup and heavy lotion beforehand so nothing blocks the light.
